It so happened that palm trees have become favorite house plants. And not only because they are elegant and beautiful (and this cannot be taken away from them). They are «in the sense» close to all the fashionable interior trends today — Art Deco, neoclassicism, softminimalism, eclecticism. And besides, the fashionable theme of the tropics in the interior has not been canceled. Therefore, lianas, paproprotniki, aglaonelas play along with palm trees. Ficuses occupy their niche. The general trend is to simplify compositions. Look!

1. Date palm

The date palm has a special fate in history: suffice it to say that it is with palm branches that Christians in southern Europe, the Middle East, etc. go to church for the feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem (we traditionally replace the palm with willow). And purely aesthetically, this palm tree is good: it is elegant and at the same time strong, sprawling, with elastic stiff leaves gathered in a fan. It looks great solo or with lower plants in the corner of the room, under the stairs, in general, wherever you need to create a beautiful vertical or put a green accent.

2. Hovea

This palm tree with similar in pattern, but larger and, as it were, drooping leaves looks exquisite and even «feminine». It will fit into a luxury interior of any style and will give charm, sophistication to a democratic interior.

3. Hamedorea

One of the types of hamedorrhea is called «elegant hamedorrhea». However, without exception, all hamedorei are elegant. They are easily confused with hoveyas, which are just as gentle, but have more sprawling drooping foliage. (A landscape designer, a florist will always help you figure out where everything is.)

4. Figs

This plant with very beautiful foliage can be grown at home. We do not promise a harvest, but after all, homemade figs, or fig tree, are not about that. It is «about» southern nature, beauty, travel.

5. Ficuses

Ficuses of various types — both large—leaved and small-leaved — have always been in the interior, and now occupy their place in winter gardens, living rooms, bedrooms. They have a pleasant stylistic neutrality, they approach the space in any style, from classical to country.
